Today’s final is the 31st in the competition’s history and the 23rd at Wembley Stadium. Between 2001 and 2007 seven finals were played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, while in the 1983/84 season the first ever final was played at Boothferry Park in Hull.
And we are off! Peterborough leading Chesterfield 2-0.
In the second half here at Wembley the teams are kicking towards their respective sets of fans amassed behind the two goals.
And Chesterfield have forced an early corner.
GOAL! Chesterfield pull one back. 2-1. Game on!
Smart finish by Eoin Doyle to put Chesterfield right back in the game.
That's his tenth goal of the season, and there won't have been many as big as that one. We've got a great cup final on our hands now.
