Sky Bet League 2 Play-Off Final report: Burton Albion 0-1 Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town have been promoted to Sky Bet League 1 for the first time in their history after a 1-0 victory against Burton Albion at Wembley Stadium.

Antoni Sarcevic scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute, lobbing Burton goalkeeper Dean Lyness from a long-range free-kick, in what was Fleetwood's first visit to the national stadium since a 3-1 FA Vase Final defeat to Halesowen Town in 1985.

The promotion was the Cod Army's sixth in 10 seasons, which started with the club winning the North West Counties League Division One - in the 10th tier of English football - in 2005.
